Clinical Mental Health Counseling:
I am a warm, creative, and enthusiastic counselor. I completed my Master of Science in Counseling Education at East Carolina University in 2025, with a specialization in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I hold a B.A. in Psychology and Education from University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Mild-Moderate Disabilities was my focus in graduate school at Lesley University, where I earned my Master of Education. I offered therapeutic counseling support services for 2 years as a clinical intern, from 2021-2022 and 2024-2025..
Counseling Background:
I have worked closely with young people diagnosed with a variety of exceptionalities, including ASD, learning disabilities, and attention disorders. I enjoy working with families, children, teens, and young adults with a variety of challenges, including anxiety, self esteem, mood regulation, and adjustment difficulties. I continue to attend workshops and seminars to keep up with the latest research for social emotional development. My latest professional development workshop certifications include: “Art Therapy Techniques for Children and Teens”, and “Anxiety in Children”. I help youth to navigate social-emotional challenges, and build confidence in creative ways. I have had a variety of experiences in the field of education, special education, psychology, mindfulness, and child development. As a counselor, I use techniques from a variety of counseling approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral, Behavioral, Mindfulness, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
